Readers should be able to recognise when content involves a commercial relationship.
Disclosure
Paid articles are labelled as sponsored or advertisement near the beginning of the article. Any material commercial relationship must be disclosed clearly.
Editorial review
Sponsored submissions must fit the technology focus, offer useful information and meet our editorial standards. Payment does not guarantee acceptance or the publication of unsupported claims.
Links
Paid links are marked with rel="sponsored" or an appropriate equivalent. We do not sell promises of rankings, traffic or undisclosed endorsements.
What to send
Describe the advertiser, topic, target audience, proposed links and commercial arrangement. Include evidence for any claims and permission for supplied media.

Practical example & checks
How to describe a proposed commercial placement
Include the advertiser or partner, article topic, intended audience, relationship/payment, proposed destination URLs and any requested edits. A review should confirm that the content is useful independently of the link and that commercial influence is visible to readers.
Paid links require appropriate qualification. An exchange relationship should not be disguised as an independent endorsement. A link attribute alone does not disclose a material relationship to a reader; disclosure text and technical treatment serve different purposes.
